Myrmecia Queenslandica are an east-coast, highly aggressive species and should only be kept by experienced ant keepers. Like most bull ants, their sting is extremely painful. In the wild, they are known to hunt and kill larger insects, and they require a diet high in protein to thrive in captivity. They also require a naturalistic setup with a substrate such as red sand that allows their larvae to spin cocoons. May be identified as M. Gilberti or M. Pilliventris. Colony includes medium green Y-tong nest, please email for more details.
