Odontomachus Ruficeps — Trapjaw Ant

Setup: At the founding stage, a test tube setup or founding chamber with a water source is sufficient. Once the number of workers exceeds ~7, they should be moved into a small nest.
Diet: Gently feed the queen small sugars and protein weekly. When workers arrive, feed sugars and protein regularly.

These ants are iconic, known for their amazing jaws that can open flat to 180º! When they slam shut, the speed is one of the fastest movements of the entire animal kingdom. They are strange ants, difficult to care for, but easier than bull ants. Be warned, their bite hurts a little bit, but their sting hurts a lot.
