FAQ
- How often do you hydrate the tray?
– For high humidity demanding species we recommend filling the tray every 1 to 3 days. For Camponotus or less demanding species once a week should suffice. - How much water do I need to put in?
-Due to the unique design of this nest you can put in as much water as you want. The nest itself can’t overflow so we recommend you hydrate until you can’t no more. - Do you need to put cotton in the bottom tray?
-We highly recommend adding some form of moisture containing substance into the tray. This can be cotton, sponges, plaster etc. This will greatly improve the moisture holding capacity of the reservoir. - Which way is the right way to put the tray under the nest?
-The watering holes should be on the backside of the nest. The opposite of the tube connector.

The nest housed my black pavement at colony well. until I fed them a dead cockroach and poisoned 20 of them (Rookie mistake). It connected to the tubing that I ordered well, no gaps, no escapees. It has easily accessible moisture control and is easy to clean, thanks to the handy screws. The red panel that I ordered with it fit well and I was able to see my ants clearly. Although, I was expecting it to have a more secure/tight fit to the top panel, rather than just sitting on top. Overall, it is a nifty, easy to attach and affordable set up for beginners.
