Strobe ants get their name from their unique behaviour of making fast, jolting movements when disturbed, making it appear as if they are rapidly flashing. Both the queen and the workers have a beautiful orange and black colour pattern and massive eyes, making them fantastic to observe throughout the day. Interestingly, they also have the ability to see backwards. This species has more black colouring than it’s similar strobe counterparts.
